Through photography, writing, and conversation, Northland Lens seeks to preserve the character of small towns and rural communities—capturing everything from local events and community traditions to quiet landscapes and the stories of the people who call this region home.

About Tim Lenahan
I’m a photographer, writer, storyteller, and pastor living in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
For years, I’ve been drawn to the stories found in small towns—the stories that rarely make national headlines but help define who we are. Whether it’s a community gathering, a local tradition, a family business, a high school sporting event, or a quiet moment along a back road, I believe these stories are worth preserving.
My photography and writing have appeared in regional publications throughout Vermont, and Northland Lens serves as a home for the stories and images that continue to inspire me.
More than anything, I hope this project helps celebrate the people and communities that make rural New England such a special place to call home.
