Summer in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is full of small-town traditions and community spirit. From parades lined with flags on Independence Day, to live music echoing across Island Pond, to neighbors gathering at the Strawberry Festival — these moments define the season.
I had the privilege of photographing these events and seeing them featured in the North Star Monthly. This collection highlights the energy and warmth of summer here: families cheering on parades, friends sharing food, musicians filling the air with sound, and local traditions that connect generations.
Every frame reflects the joy of life in Burke and Island Pond during the height of summer.
