I had the opportunity to photograph the North Country School of Dance as they brought the magic of the season to area seniors with their annual holiday performances. The Newport Daily Express published a half-page spread from the event, highlighting dancers of all ages sharing movement, music, and Christmas cheer with residents at Michaud Manor in Derby Line. Moments like these—equal parts artistry and community connection—are why I love documenting life in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
