Job’s Pond – Mist and Rain

Photographed just outside Island Pond in late September, this series captures Job’s Pond wrapped in the quiet atmosphere of an overcast, rainy day. The mist settled low across the ridges, softening the fiery maples and golden birches into a watercolor-like backdrop. Raindrops stippled the pond’s surface and clung to cedar boughs along the shoreline, magnifying the calm and stillness of the moment.

Rather than bright skies, these images highlight a different side of Vermont’s autumn — moody, reflective, and deeply serene. A dock extends into the rain-dappled water, framed by evergreens and bursts of crimson, while solitary rocks anchor the shoreline.
